Collection: Handcarved Wooden Spoons

Jonny’s hand carved wooden spoons are always much in demand, and I’ve finally twisted his arm enough to get him to make some for you too!

Each piece of wood is collected here on our farm in Cornwall, England. The trees he uses varies, but will likely be either from an Ash or Sycamore tree. The wood is usually collected as part of a woodland management system called coppicing where the branches are removed to allow the tree to continue to grow, and does not result in any trees being completely cut down or killed.

Jonnys style of spoon carving is very rustic and natural. Each spoon is unique and will vary in shape, size, colour and style. You’ll often see cut marks from the axe or hook knife and he never uses sandpaper on his spoons, preferring the handmade, rustic style.

Also, it’s worth noting that the bowl size of each coffee scoop is slightly different and will not equate to a specific amount of coffee. I recommend using your new coffee scoop a few times to gauge exactly how much ground coffee you need to add for the perfect strength of coffee that you enjoy.
